Well, she ain't too sick to pray. Let's have a look.
Tolek comes from out from somewhere in Western Canada, where exactly, he's never quite said. Far as folks can figure, he just showed up the one day in Mechanicsville out in the ruins of Montreal. For years, he drifted from shop to shop in the town, plying his trade for as long as people could tolerate him.
Eventually he had the urge to move on, go somewhere where his skills and talents would be more useful than in a town full of mechanics working for what appeared to be yet another in a long line of conflicts in an area that has already seen way too many. So he made his way farther down the coast, paying his way by doing odd jobs for the townships and settlements he came across.
With his discovery of the area surrounding Dogwood and Vesper, he's decided that for once, he may attempt to settle down, maybe stay in one place for a change. As long as the money is good, that is....
Rogue Mechanic with a price
A mechanic for hire, fresh in from Mechanicsville in the ruins of eastern Canada. Presumably looking for work.
Invoke: Whenever there's a repair job to be done, he tries to see the repairs done correctly. (His way)
Compel: When a piece of technology goes woefully into disrepair.
Cash is King
Let's face it, he doesn't (or rarely) works for free. After all, every man has his price. Put a high enough number on the job, it's hard to resist.
Invoke: Whenever someone comes to him needing an estimate, he's not below high-balling the price.
Compel: If someone offers a high-enough amount for work required, he wouldd find it very hard to say no, despite the requirements and sourcing of parts for the work. Or the inherent risk behind it.
He's never quite satified with any of his designs. Whether they be his, or the manufacturers. There's always the need to tweak it just that little bit more, get some extra juice out of that power core.
Invoke: Whenever he thinks a repair is finished, he tries to improve it just that much more.
Compel: An unmodified (or stock) design that comes in for repairs just BEGS to be made that much better.
Better than New!
Whenever you succeed with style on an overcome action to repair a piece of machinery, you can immediately give it a new situation aspect (with a free invoke) reflecting the improvements you’ve made, instead of just a boost.
