Born in the technocity of Dogwood, Stella knew from a young age that she wanted to drive cars professionally, and proceeded to do just that. She joined the amateur racing circuit in her late teens, and appeared to be well on her way to a successful driving career. However, a truly severe crash in her early twenties ended her racing prospects, even if she was readily able to repair her damaged vision and replace the arm she lost.
Falling out of the racing circuit left her with few employment prospects. She opted to try her hand at 'self-employment' -- basically running cargo that borders on illegal for varying reasons. After all, plain old cargo transport is mind-numbingly boring.
In the years since she started cargo running, Stella has earned the reputation of a transporter who gets her jobs done on time and with minimal loss of cargo. It's also paid for her highly customized vehicle and some more ... personal upgrades.
Transporter for Hire, Discretion Gauranteed
When you need something moved quickly, quietly and reliably you call a transporter. When you need absolute discretion and a woman who will die before failing, you call Bridge.
Invoke: To keep secrets, get the goods moved and protect her shipment.
Compel: When those secrets come back to bite her.
Every Run Puts a Target on My Back
She transports valuable items that others want through sometimes dangerous areas. Her rivals, her clients rivals, gangs, demons, they're all dangers every time.
Invoke: To know her way around dangerous situations, keep her cool and keep on truckin'.
Compel: When those dangers rear their ugly heads, on or off the job.
More Than Meets the Eye
Bridge is a cyborg. She keeps that part on the downlow though. Cyborgs aren't well liked everywhere and there's no shortage of enemies who would love to use her as a scrap heap.
Invoke: To conceal and make use of her unusual abilities.
Compel: To run across 'humanists' who disagree with augmentations, to be found out for what she is at a bad time or to be targeted because of her enhancements.
That's Just Unnatural
Bridge really doesn't like the supernatural. It makes her twitch on a good day.
Invoke: When putting the hurt down on those nasty unnatural critters or when avoiding their notice.
Compel: To do something rash or have her attitudes show at a bad time.
Pedal to the Metal
You can coax more speed out of your vehicle than seems possible. Whenever you’re engaged in any contest where speed is the primary factor (such as a chase or race of some kind) and you tie with your Drive roll, it’s considered a success.
Unlike partial or full cybernetic conversions, minor cyborgs often have only a handful of small implants. They lack the strength and toughness of their less mortal cousins thanks to the lack of things like reinforced skeletal structures to bear the strain of high performance limbs, but they make up for it with sneaky tricks. There’s a lot of things that can be implanted after all. Choose two skills other than physique that your implants assist with. You never suffer penalties or increased difficulties to those skills due to lack of tools or inclement conditions. (Notice, Shoot)
Through a series of high tech dermal implants you gain some level of resilience to physical harm. By itself it’s not much, but when paired with other armor it’s often the difference between a bad day and a very bad day. Grants Armor 5 when unarmored or adds +1 to worn body armor (but not powered armor or similar systems)
Neural Interface Suite
You have the ability to interface directly with suitably equipped computers. Provided the vehicle has a Neural Port or similar interface, you gains a +2 to operate that computer for whatever functions it performs and never suffers a penalty for being unfamiliar with the systems in question while linked. (Cost 1)
+2 to create advantages using Physique while using the left arm only.
Weapon Value 1 on unarmed fight attacks using the left arm only.
