"There's no such thing as broke. It's just sorta... broke-ish."
Most parents wouldn't call a junkyard an ideal place to raise a child, but for Rex it was an educational experience. By the time he was five, he could fix anything from cables to toasters. By ten, he was rebuilding engines. It wasn't much later that he could no longer be contained by the walls of his homestead. Soon he was running off and getting in trouble, and he was barely grown by the time he left home for good.
The most tenacious and wild operator that has ever lived.
Invoke: Stubborn to a glorious fault, Rex gains a bonus when pushing a machine beyond its perceived limits or fixing what seems unfixable.
Compel: A terrible show-off, Rex impulsively takes dangerous risks simply because they look impressive.
Idle hands are the devil's workshop, and Rex gets idle fast.
Invoke: Rex gains a bonus when doing something he is not supposed to do.
Compel: When waiting or otherwise unoccupied and an opportunity for trouble presents itself, or when explicitly told not to do something.
Nothing slows down the party train that is Rex's force of personality.
Invoke: No plan? No problem. Winging it is Rex's modus operandi...
Compel: ...until his improvisational style gets him in trouble.
Minor Gateway: Minor Cybernetics
Augmentic Implants: Rex never suffers penalties or increased difficulties to Crafts and Drive due to lack of tools or inclement conditions.
This implant allows Rex to make Crafts rolls to hack any computer he can gain remote or physical access to without the need for additional equipment. It also confers a +2 bonus to any overcome actions aimed at defeating or evading security measures. He must still have the knowledge necessary to hack in the first place, these implants don’t confer that.
Low Profile Armor Implants
Grants Armor 5 when unarmored or adds +1 to worn body armor (but not powered armor or similar systems) .
Neural Interface Suite
Provided the vehicle has a Neural Port or similar interface, Rex gains a +2 to operate that computer for whatever functions it performs and never suffers a penalty for being unfamiliar with the systems in question while linked.
Minor Gateway: RPA Training
RPA Basic Training: Rex may use the Drive skill to operate robots and powered armor and purchase RPA Basic extras.
When repairing a vehicle, Rex may add +2 to his Crafts roll so long as he has access to a pile of scrap.
Rex may accept a 2 stress hit to add +2 to his Drive in any kind of chase challenge.
Better Than New!
Whenever he succeeds with style on an overcome action to repair a piece of machinery, he can immediately give it a new situation aspect (with a free invoke) reflecting the improvements he's made, instead of just a boost.
