Few had heard of Aiden Frost before the Tolkeen war. There was no reason for them to. The child of poor farmers living in the wilderness of the Ohio river valley in the Magic Zone wasn't really anyone important. The only thing notable about him was his psychic gift, and it was the one thing his parents were determined not to squander. So when he was still quite young they sent him to learn and train at the small monastery-school for psychics in the town of Potemkane several miles away.
Years later, Aiden traveled the Great Lakes and the Midwest sometimes alone, sometimes in the company of others making use of his fairly combative gifts primarily on the kinds of demon and hostile D-Bee that inhabit the less controlled areas of the Magic Zone. Eventually his travels took him to Tolkeen where he settled and continued his work, often with the aid of local soldiers.
When war came with the Coalition States, Aiden threw his considerable gifts behind Tolkeen's cause, working as an operative to remove high value military targets under the code name Vargr. He racked up an impressive kill tally that got him very much noticed by the CS military authorities. When the war ended and Tolkeen fell the survivors of the city scattered to avoid retribution from a multitude of powerful enemies. Aiden remained only long enough to get some of his former compatriots clear and then headed east, hounded much of the way by bounty hunters and assassins.
The rumors of a returned city off the Mid Atlantic seaboard hinted at a place where he might be able to escape notice for a time and pick up the pieces. Whether or not that wound up being true, Aiden knew one thing for certain, he'd run as far as he could.
And as far as he was willing to.
Mindscarred Psychic Veteran of the Tolkeen War
Aiden has spent the last several years embroiled in one sharp, nasty conflict after another. He is very good at the fine art of staying alive in an unstable world, but the strain on him is starting to show.
Invoke: To leverage the hard lessons of half a lifetime spent at war, to work others toward common goals or to know just the right person ‘from the old days’.
Compel: When his experiences lead him to make snap decisions or react with preemptive violence.
Wanted, Dead or Alive
Aiden has spent a lot of time looking over his shoulder and it’s starting to wear on him. In his time fighting in the western wars he’s managed to piss off a couple of powerful groups of people enough that there’s prices on his head. Agents of those organizations are hunting him and worse anyone who recognizes him might decide that the risk of taking him on is worth the rewards on offer.
Invoke: When his status as a wanted man earns him points with the enemies of his enemies.
Compel: When old enemies show up, when bounty hunters hunt him down, when his reputation as a fugitive complicates matters and when the long strain of life on the run makes him skittish and paranoid.
Omni Cedo Domus
Leave no man behind. Aiden has seen too many friends die to easily let anyone else go on his watch. Everyone goes home, even if the best he can do is bring back their body for the next of kin.
Invoke: This attitude makes him shockingly loyal and capable of feats of valor, arms and stupidity when keeping that promise. Everyone Goes Home. Everyone.
Compel: His idiotic loyalty can put him in a position to be harmed far more often than he strictly needs and people who know this quick about him can easily leverage his friends against him. It also makes him vulnerable to his friends themselves. It's hard, these days, to get in past the paranoia that's been setting in ever since the fall of Tolkeen but those who do are, ironically, in a far better position to hurt him than most. And he might even let them.
Unbent, Unbowed, Somewhat Broken
Aiden's seen a lot. Too much. It can be said of most of the fugitives of Tolkeen that they left more than just their dead on the battlefield. They left pieces of themselves. The long, violence punctuated flight from the warzone only made those issues worse.
Invoke: To resist adversity, dig his heels in and fight for his principles, his freedom or his friends.
Compel: To be suspicious, paranoid, have debilitating nightmares or flashbacks and generally to let the wounds of war show when he doesn't want them to show. And he never wants them to show.

I fear no evil. Aiden's training and chosen profession have run him up against a lot of evil and not just the supernatural kind. It's burned him more than once. It's definitely gotten him a lot of hurt, headache and heartache. He doesn’t hate it. Aiden’s no Cyber Knight. But he’s not afraid of it.
Invoke: To maintain his composure and act in the face great odds, or resist fear, coercion and compulsion.
Compel: Sometimes you should be worried. Aiden’s lack of fear does sometimes translate into what some might call a lack of sense, making him rash or bold or even willing to tolerate things that he perhaps should question.
